Terramin is a mining company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. The Precision Group has made a substantial investment in Terramin through a recent off market placement.
The company is building into a significant base metal producer after acquiring several advanced projects since 1995. The projects have low development and capital costs because they are located near infrastructure. The 100% owned Angas zinc mine only 70km from Adelaide in South Australia will produce over 30,000 tonnes of zinc and 12,000 tonnes of lead per annum with significant gold, silver and copper from 2008.
The company’s Oued Amizour project is only 10km from a deep water port on the Mediterranean coast of Algeria, and strategically located to supply European smelters. Tala Hamza is a 55 million tonne lead/zinc deposit expected to develop into one of the top 4 zinc mines in the world. Production is planned to commence from 2010 and increase incrementally.
The company expects to be producing more than 250,000 tonnes of zinc and lead in concentrate by 2012.
One of the Precision Group’s board members, Steve Bonett is also an executive director of Terramin Australia Limited.
