Precision’s executive team has extensive experience in property and related industries, and understands how to develop and manage leading property assets. The combination of skills and experience in property asset management, valuation, leasing, development and marketing, together with specialist knowledge in legal, accounting and human resources makes this a dynamic and resourceful team.
Shaun Bonétt founded Precision Group in 1994 and is principally responsible for the strategic direction of Precision in addition to playing an active role in the purchase, finance and development of all the Group’s commercial property transactions across all sectors. Shaun’s foresight has been integral to Precision’s most successful projects including: 1. the acquisition of the Adelaide Central Plaza development project (the first David Jones anchored CBD shopping centre) from David Jones, at a time when David Jones’ share price was 98 cents and no one wished to take the project on, and 2. the swap transaction that led Precision to acquire MacArthur Central, at the time the largest ever commercial property swap to be undertaken in Australia. In addition, Shaun has made a number of successful equity investments, including in the early development stages of ASX Listed company iSelect Limited in which Shaun also serves as a Director and in Litigation Lending Services Limited in which Shaun acts as Chairman. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Jurisprudence), Bachelor of Law and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Adelaide. Prior to founding Precision, Shaun held corporate advisory roles in property and property taxation. Shaun is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of the Young Presidents’ Organisation, and of the President’s Council of the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Shaun is a Director of the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of Australia Limited and founder of his own charity the Heartfelt Foundation.
Ron is Precision’s General Counsel and Company Secretary and has over 37 years’ experience in the legal profession. Ron provides specialist professional counsel on all day-to-day regulatory, compliance, property, property finance and transaction related legal matters.
Ron holds degrees in Arts and Law and is admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
Ron was a non-executive director of several Macquarie Bank securitisation vehicles and has also served as the Compliance Committee chairman for a leading Australian REIT.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the Shopping Centre industry Trevor is responsible for leading the management, marketing and leasing teams of the Precision Group’s retail assets and for providing operational and leasing reviews of all the Group’s new retail developments. Trevor’s track record includes over 12 years at Westfield including time as the State Operations Manager NSW and 13 years with Walkercorp, Australia’s largest privately owned property developer as the General Manager – Retail. During his time with Walkercorp Trevor established the Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney and managed the Rhodes Shopping Centre also in Sydney, from concept to opening and then through stabilisation, before both assets were sold to Mirvac in 2007. In 2008, Trevor opened the Point Cook Town Centre, an award winning Greenfield development and masterminded its management, marketing and leasing until sold to the Stockland Group in 2011. During Trevor’s time at Walkercorp, the retail portfolio built and managed was worth in excess of $800m.
Edward leads Precision’s finance team and is responsible for day to day financial operations as well as ongoing dealings with Precision’s financiers. Having being involved with Precision’s financial reporting for over 6 years via his previous position with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Edward has a unique insight into Precision’s business that provides key strategic direction and finance management expertise.
Edward is a Chartered Accountant and holds degrees in Commerce (Accounting) and Law and has served as a member on the New South Wales Institute of Chartered Accountants Business Advisory Panel (CABs Panel NSW).
Roger Hatem is the National Technology and Facilities Manager at Precision Group. His varied career across multiple industries includes IT management, mentoring and training, engineering, setting IT strategies, planning and implementation, developing business intelligence tools and business improvement processes, supply chain and logistics, facilities management, contract management and budgeting. Roger holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Statistics (Macquarie University), a Master of Science in Operations Research (University of technology Sydney), and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Roger is highly strategical with an eye for detail. He has a sharp business acumen and an ability to develop tools and techniques to assist businesses to lower their costs whilst improving customer satisfaction. Roger also advises, guides and sets Precision Group’s IT policies and strategies.
