The Centre of the Port

Port Adelaide Plaza™ shopping centre is the newest shopping centre in the heart of one of Adelaide’s oldest historical ports – Port Adelaide, 14km northwest of the Adelaide CBD located with easy access from Commercial Road and surrounded by historic landmarks and buildings. The design of the new Port Adelaide Plaza™ shopping centre is of a contemporary nature and exhibits an innovative style. A collection of pedestrian friendly and inspirational spaces to explore, savour and enjoy, allowing locals and visitors alike to soak up the unique atmosphere, a melting pot of historic quality and new-found confidence.

Rebranding

The re-development of the shopping centre is under way, a $45 million construction project that will create almost 300 jobs and add significant economic prosperity to the iconic suburb of Port Adelaide. The Centre, which was rebranded Port Adelaide Plaza™ shopping centre in April 2019 will expand from 19,000 square metres to over 29,000 square metres with an expected end value of $133 million - making it the most significant retail development of its kind in the local area in 40 years.

The Centre (owned and managed by Precision Group) is being extended to accommodate 50+ retailers, including speciality shops, cafes and restaurants, Paisley Park Early Learning and a planned health club and medical centre.

Growing Population

Whilst the name has changed, our position at the centre of the community will remain the same. Port Adelaide Plaza™ shopping centre will provide everyday shopping and services to a growing population of over 60,800 and over 8,000 businesses. Further residential developments in the Port Adelaide area will ensure continued growth and revitalisation over the coming years. With Stage 1 open in April 2019, Stage 2 is expected to open mid-2020.
